If the team can't delve into secondaries, it'd be limited to monks, rits, and paragons. Nothing else has access to a healing line, and lets be honest, self heals just realy aren't a great option with no real healers backing you. Although a mesmer could pull it off with the CoP spike, and possibley eles with an obs tank or two.
But lets face it, GW is no fun without the use of your secondary.

Necromancer is by far the most versatile profession in the game as it can provide substantial damage, conditioning, buffing, and debuffing with only modest assistance from secondary professions.

I think a paragon team would just blow through almost anything you can encounter without taking any damage.

Elementalist - because I can play this profession the best out of all the others. don't know if it will be good, but I will know how to run it to the max.
Second choice is Necromancer

Necromancer. Been my favorite class from day one, and is by far the most versatile, has an insane amount of power & management, and with the exception of maybe paragon, the most synergy with others of the same profession.
Next would be warrior, simply because it is my second favorite class, although it would be difficult to pull off.

Agreed. Although I have tanked a warrior and a dervish as a mesmer (and eventually killed them both), I was completely drained of energy and left with only 1/4th of my health in about 20 seconds.
I think even with the use of secondaries, ritualists would give any other class a good beating. Probably even more so.

Necros.
Maybe some rits, as they have healing powers and spirit spammage.

Necro would be the ones to take x8 and most probably life stealing could be the better way to go i would imagine.

This is a very difficult thread for me. I've all ten professions, and I enjoy playing them all. Every time I try to choose one over the other, I end up back at square one. =[

I'm having a hard time deciding what would roll stuff over faster - necros or paragons.
8 Monks or rits would work too, but they wouldn't be doing as much damage.
8 of another profession just isn't viable imo. You need either ability to do everything built into your primary (monk and rit) or have broken energy management that lets you throw efficiency out of the window and fill in roles with your secondary. In an 8-para team you can probably have a P/R spam RaO and concussion shot under QZ and still not run out of energy.
